Here's a thought, um, I'm bilingual and I was asked if the voice in my head is in Spanish or in English Which is a great question because I kind of like toggle back and forth depending on the thought Like if I'm thinking about my mom, it's in Spanish, but if I'm thinking about my friends, it's in English So I'm curious if any multilingual people out there have different voices in your head in different languages Or is it just one?
Yeah, I speak 14 different languages and You know, I toggle between 14 different languages if I'm speaking to my pet turtle, you know I'm thinking about speaking Dutch to it. If I'm speaking to my pet hamster, I'm thinking about speaking, you know German to it, you know, it's just different type of languages, you know different type of people I get it
Okay, so I recently found this out, right, because I'm ADHD and I have dyslexia, I see and hear my thoughts in 3D and visually like a video, right, but people don't do that, it's like, I was wondering, people hear or see their thoughts as like a picture, or like a video, and if they hear their thoughts, like, is it your voice, or like a different narrator, right?
Yeah, like mostly it's like English when I'm speaking, like when I'm talking to my family, it's like in my language, tree. And when in like, when I'm thinking about like my friend's school, anything not related to my family at all, it's like, it's mostly English.
Well, for me, I speak three languages, so, especially French. Uh, it depends on... It's more like, if I don't understand many things in English, I start using my primary language, which is my first language, to think things and to speak to myself to understand what that word means. I don't... I don't...
