Does anybody else think that Agent Carter would have been more well-received and been a lot more popular if it was released now? I feel like they released this show too early. I feel like it would be better for it now. Haley Atwell was very good as Peggy Carter, I feel. Excellent casting. So yeah, really good show.
I love Agent Carter, and honestly, I think they put a suitable amount of promotion behind it. It just didn't catch because it didn't have, you know, laser cannons and multiverses and telekinesis, and it wasn't a dude in the front. But this is their strongest female-led property, because she's great, Agent Carter's a great creation, and that actress is amazing. And we need more of this, for sure. Oh god, I want to see her Captain Britain more so bad.
I like Gage and Carter for what it was. I don't think it was terrible. I do think it came at a weird time But it's kind of like some of the stuff that's fallen short on the Disney Plus shows is that we don't get that Like I think we're so determined to get a buyback or a payback on certain things that it's just like like in WandaVision I Wanted Mr. Fantastic to be the scientist that built the machine that she wrote in so badly
Yeah, so what I'm basically getting at is that we don't always get those payoffs that we really want as fans. Like we did with Spider-Man No Way Home, getting all three Peters was amazing and getting all those villains was awesome. But do we always need that? That's the other question. Do we always need a payoff? And so I think that's what people wanted with Agent Carter, is more of that lore and we didn't get it. Pineapple planted out.
