I am not a truck driver, I am a regular driver. But I do remember one night last year, yeah, it was a little over a year ago, I was traveling back from a family event and it was in an area that I didn't really know. And there was a lot of construction on the main road and so it had a bunch of these detours and everything. So all of the cones were kind of going towards the right side of the road and it said that we had to take a detour,
Hey Frenchie, shout out to you. Thanks for sharing the story here about your experience driving on an unknown road that is very dark outside with no additional lights, other than your headlights going down the road. I think you made the right decision. And I would have made the same decision as you. So, yeah.
Because, at the end of the day, you're right. You know, I would have even passed by if it was a woman flagging me down. And you know, it sucks that we live in a society where we have to really protect ourselves from people that can hurt us, because people have been trafficked, kidnapped, murdered just by helping someone on the side of the road. The person flagging down.
The person flagging down someone, making the individual driving by feel like oh my god that person needs help, let me help them, when in reality that individual flagging them down has ulterior motives and doesn't really need help. Never really, you know, crashed on the side of the road or broke down on the side of the road, really just trying to flag down victims because they have ulterior motives.
So at the end of the day, you've got to choose life, you know, what I typically do is when I pass by people on the side of the road like that on a, on any road, right, especially at night, I pray for them. And I call the police and I'm like, Hey, you know, someone's broken down on the side of the road. It's at mile marker this no one's around partner up. Okay, like that's good luck.
And if the police say, oh, did you stop and help them? Are you waiting with them? No, I'm not, sir. I'm sorry, but I don't know who this person is, you know, on a quiet, dead, no lights around, back road. No, no, no such thing happened. I drove by and I called you. You know, can you go back and check on him? Nope, I'm not doing that for you, sir, I'm sorry. That's a risk I will not take.
At the end of the day, you know, there are times when we need to look out for numero uno, you know what I mean? And it sucks that we live in a society where people really can't be trusted. Even in the daytime, women, children, men have been snatched in the broad daylight. Pulling off to the side of the road, helping someone. It's crazy shit. It's a crazy world we live in.
At the end of the day, Frenchie, it does suck that we live in a world where we have to think on our feet, you know, where we don't feel comfortable to pull off to the side of the road to help someone in need, you know, someone potentially in need, right? But at the same time, I value my life. I have babies to go back home to, you know what I mean? So it is what it is.
The only thing I remember is driving in the Rocky Mountains when I was going back to San Diego from Colorado and I went to bend a corner and all of a sudden I saw like 5 or 6 deers in the middle of the road and they literally just picked their heads up and they're just staring at you. I had to stop the car because literally a deer in headlights is absolutely what they did. They just stood there. And then I had to wait. And then I pressed the horn and then they scattered. But yeah, that's about the weirdest thing or creepiest thing I've ever seen.
A shout out to you, Bree. I hope you're having a great day. Thanks for commenting on my post. Hearing your experience creeped me out second hand because that is scary. It's like the deer were having a meeting in the dark in the middle of the road. That's weird. That is creepy and weird. And then it took you honking your horn for them to scatter before they were fine.
Before they were fine, just standing there in the middle of the road like you somehow interrupted their meeting. Like what is this lady doing? What's this? What's this majestic machine with these lights just staring at you staring at the head, man, you know that deer in headlights is a saying for a reason, isn't it? Yeah. Well, I'm happy that nothing crazy happened though, beyond that. So cheers to that.
Hey look, I ain't no truck driver, but I seen some creepy shit in the middle of the night driving. That ass. One time I'm driving, it was like a shadow, and I know it was there. It was in the middle of nowhere, no other cars were there. And my headlights was on, my high beams was on, the shadow was there, I stopped, there was nothing there. But I saw, I swear I saw something.
A shout out to you Livewire. Thanks for coming through commenting on my post. Yeah, that I believe you. I believe you really, really saw a shadow. And you know, so many places are haunted, you know, and there's so many unexplained things that happen in this world. So it's very possible that you definitely saw something in your eyes were not playing a trick on you. That would creep me out though. So I'm happy you're okay.
I'm not a truck driver, but I would imagine there's so many things that could be creepy. Especially driving down a dark road like that. Um, and then all these supernatural stories that you be hearing or seeing on YouTube. I would imagine, um, that's the perfect place for one.
Cheers to you, Steppas Dawn. Thanks for coming through and commenting on my post. Yeah, I like hearing those supernatural stories on YouTube. There's a few content creators that really love hearing their stories, or not even, it may not be their story, but it's a story they heard from someone else. They're really good storytellers. Cheers to you. I hope you're having a great day.
I'm not a truck driver. I can't even drive right now. But shout out to you Moon. I'm loving this post. Just stopping by to show some love and support. Have a good day.
