Bro, grits is only supposed to be savory. If you want some oatmeal, go get you some oatmeal. Do not put no motherfuckin' sugar in the motherfuckin' grits. That shit make me so, so mad.
How dare you? What you mean? Huh? Take that goddamn salt out them grits. Ain't no kids gonna eat that. You should be ashamed of yourself. Oh, my God. Where does the world come to that? We put salt and pepper and frankincense and myrrh in my fucking grits. Sugar and butter, sugar and butter does the trick.
Grits are not supposed to be sweet. If you want something sweet, go eat some goddamn oatmeal. Y'all so, why are y'all so backward? Salt and pepper in the grits, please. And don't put no butter in the grits. Get a little bit of olive oil or coconut oil or grapeseed oil, try that. But who eat sweet grits? You oatmeal eating motherfuckers.

It absolutely depends on what I'm preparing with it but if it's in the morning time most of the time I'm definitely gonna want some daggone butter and sugar in it but if I got the shrimp now I don't really need nothing in it but some butter and salt and pepper just depends on how I'm preparing it again.
