Great question. I have heard that it's a sign of intelligence but to be honest sometimes it's just laziness or yeah it's not needed. I think there's loads of words that we should start using that aren't curse words like flibbing a gibbet.
Yeah, Boulder Dash, Shiver Me Timbers, Cor Blimey Mate, because my nephew has started to pick up the curse words so yeah, suggestions are always helpful. Fiddlesticks!
I think it depends who you ask. Some scientists will be like, yes it indicates intelligence, but if you're a person to me who is always like, oh, f***ing, using it as like a joining word, then no.

I don't really use curse words as a part of my daily vocabulary. You know, I'll say it when I'm super angry sometimes or something like that, but I don't know, I think there's more creative ways to explain how you're feeling.
I think it really just depends on your circumstance in your audience because if you're discussing consistently and not having a strong vocabulary yard that's just a sign of ignorance but otherwise it's fine they're just words it's like it's whatever man
