If you can't make the plans that were previously made, should you let the other person know that you can't make it? Yes or no?

You are definitely supposed to let the other person know that you can't make it. That's having manners, that's being considerate. Do that. If you can't make it, you can't make it. Maybe they can't make it either. Maybe they're willing to reschedule.

Well, yeah, what are you gonna do, ghost them? What are they gonna do, like show up to the place you wanted to do stuff at and then you don't show up? Of course you gotta tell them! Otherwise that's just a bit rude.

I mean, I would think that would be common sense, but I keep forgetting that we live in a world where common sense ain't so common, child.

If they don't show up and they don't tell you and it's not like a life-or-death emergency that distracted them Then they don't value your time bottom line. So Yeah, just recognize they're not gonna value your time and don't put that faith in you

You know what I noticed? I think it's kind of interesting that all of the responses are coming from women as opposed to men. There's one male response on here and all the rest of them are from women. Hmm.

You should at least let the person know that's the least you can do. I think that's fair and you know...

I think I've already mentioned everything but yeah I believe it's fair and it's your responsibility to let the other person know because if you don't let the other person know the other person would you know go

The other person will go all the way and waste his or her energy and time and a lot of hope and dissipation and you don't have any plans to meet.

And if you didn't have any plan to meet the person then definitely that's unfair to that person and it's kind of deceiving on your end. So definitely you should let the person know.

Thanks for your responses everybody, I just had to make sure that I wasn't crazy because unfortunately I deal with people who don't let people know that you're not coming and they just no call no show like some rude bastards.

Time is something that you... once it's gone, it's gone. You don't get it back. And we're on an unknown timer in life. We don't know when it's gonna be the last time we see someone or not. Time should be valued and they should let you know. Always.
