That's not true. There are plenty of men who are avoidantly attached if you know anything about attachment theory and they don't want anything other than a a super independent person who doesn't meet them for anything. their dream because they don't want to be in a real relationship.

For example, men and women who flock to dating sites tend to be very avoidantly attached. Now that's not saying that all of them are, or necessarily most, but it's super disproportionate, and that's why you're having some problems.

Well, I'm talking about attaching styles and in this case a fear of intimacy, none of which are inherently abusive. though of course you do want to ensure that you are not being abused as well.

So I'm talking about people who do want a relationship and they're not abusive, but they genuinely don't know how to let anyone in closer than arms length. Usually there's childhood is behind it but not always.
