Hey guys, so when I'm deciding on what movie to watch, for me the reviews and ratings do make a big deal. Especially if I'm trying to watch a new movie, I don't want to waste my time because I have so many movies that I've started or like TV shows and I've just ended up stopping after like 10 minutes.
For me they don't influence my decisions to watch a movie or a TV show in any way because I like to go into things and make my own decisions and not have any preconceived notions planted so that I could be potentially biased from the beginning. So I don't even pay attention to reviews at all.
To be honest, if I'm looking for a movie to watch, I never look at reviews or ratings. Unless someone tells me, oh, I watched that movie, it was really good or it was shit. Those are the only reviews I take into consideration. but I never like go online and look at reviews or writings.
To be honest, it doesn't really affect my movie decisions at all. I mean, I could be like, oh, that's a bad review. I don't really care. If it seems like interesting, I'm gonna watch it, and then I'll make my own opinion. Now, if a friend tells me that's a little bit different, because usually the people that I watch films with, either I take their input a lot greater than a piece of paper or a review online. So it doesn't matter. I'll watch it. Bad review or not.
Did you influence me a little bit because whenever I don't know what film to watch I just go on Google and search top IMDb movies and just pick one for an hour so when I don't know what to watch I do rely on reviews
No it does it how much is a new phone Danielle I'll check the reviews or that IMDb rating of the film however it also depends on the actors in sometimes if it's like something funny and he's gonna have access point already in anyway so there is no difference in that sense if it's common US but Anything that can use I'm trying to watch I'll check the rent
They don't Especially if I want to see the movie I didn't they don't even like watching trailers anymore because they pretty much show the entire movie or even more and it's frustrating and I don't wait that long just to watch a trailer tell me everything that was gonna be a movie so I just wait till comes out and I watch it and then I get my own opinion I typically don't write reviews though Shirt
As a critic myself, I can tell you that reviews don't really matter per se. I mean one of the things I pride myself on is always telling people to form your own opinion and see it for yourself. I think reviews only matter for the traffic that we need because some critics out here it's their livelihood and their source of income so you need the views, you need the life likes and everything. But end of the day you have free will.
So like the way they influence my thoughts is that like I'm assuming they kind of are experienced because they are movie reviewers. So they kind of get the summary of the movie almost correct most of the time. Like not all the time but most of the time they get like a pretty non-biased opinion. So I'd say that... I'm sorry. I'd say that their opinion is just...
