Toilet seat left up or closed down what do you do

I mean if I'm at someone's house and it's left down then I'll just leave it as it is and if it's up, then I'll have them done and just put it back up.

Tall is it better to be left up it's nasty when I have to lift it up from someone else putting it down

Oh are usually put it down I think just because of germs and all that it can float although I don't like touching when it's up so I think it's all just down to personal preference I believe that it should be left down
