Yo, this is a real topic right here. It seemed like moms always get the easy role. Like, well, not the easy role. I don't want that to come up the wrong way. Like, moms always get, for example, let's say, in a custody battle. They just assume that the kid should go with the mom. You know what I mean? It seemed like moms just always got sort of like a handout. The dads don't ever really get no love. And I feel like that's kind of crazy. Like, unless y'all in a relationship, the dad's the only way the dad get love. But when it's like a single mom versus a single dad, they got so many programs out here, so much assistance for the single moms. But the dad just supposed to automatically just get up and get it. Like, he don't need no assistance here, man. That just seemed a little weird to me, man. I'll try to take one there though.

Okay, so I do think that the discourse about fatherhood is deplorable and that it does need to be improved but that seems like a different topic and for now I am going to address your points.

Most custody cases are settled out of court. They are not battles and they are mutually agreed upon by both parties.

And even in quote unquote battles, this has been extensively studied. When men fight for their kids, they win them most of the time. Full custody, joint custody, it doesn't matter. the problem is that most men don't fight for their kids.

But let's just be for real. Most of the men who are not fighting for joint custody of their kids don't want to parent in the first place. They want to be able to call themselves a father. They want to play with their kids. They want to see their kids. But they don't want to do the stuff that sucks. Which is why they're okay with the woman having that.

Not to mention that a lot of these mothers were divorcing the fathers for turning them into married single mothers in the first place. A lot of these fathers were not doing anything other than simply living in the same house as their kids, yet they can't figure out why the court will not give them custody.

No system is perfect and of course there are exceptions. But as a man, if you can prove that you can actually take care of your kids and not simply live in the same house with them, then the odds are in your favor. you are more likely than your ex-wife to get your kids.

And there are far more programs for single mothers because single fatherhood is not associated with poverty, Whereas if a man decides to abandon his children, that is lifelong poverty for the single mother, usually.
