Don't get me wrong, I don't actively dislike Bill Murray. I don't even really have an- I mean I'm just kind of neutral on Bill Murray. Bill Murray's just Bill Murray. But then one day I started seeing like these like silhouette stickers of Bill Murray's face on people's cars and I'm like, is that Bill Murray? Why does this motherfucker have a sticker of Bill Murray on his car? Then I just started seeing people wearing like t-shirts with his likeness and then I was like, what am I missing about Bill Murray? And I've asked my friends and they were like, oh it's the Life Aquatic and I'm like, really? Really? Was that movie that great? And then yesterday I was like, oh, he was in Groundhog Day and that was iconic, let me re-watch that. I couldn't even fucking get through it. Like can somebody please tell me why is Bill Murray like the icon that he is?
Why wouldn't he be an icon? SNL in the 70s, Meatballs, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters? I mean, what? Of course he's an icon. Who else, who's more deserving of that status?
I forgot he was also in Tootsie, which is well regarded as one of the best written comedies of all time and is one of the greatest movies of all time. So there's just no reason to not hold him in high esteem.
I actually love Bill Murray but I think people like the personality of Bill Murray more than his comedy. I don't know I feel like he's more of like a people live vicariously through him because he doesn't care. I don't know it's nothing about him he just doesn't care but he does.
Anti-social, where the hell have you been? It is so good to see you. Are you gonna stay? Are you gonna do shows? What's up? Because yeah, you're needed around these stereo streets.
Well, the question was why is Bill Murray even popular? Bill Murray was huge actually back in the 70s with his stand-up dry comedy and yet with his dirty sensations back in the 70s.
That doesn't answer jack shit! That does not answer my question at all about why there are a bunch of 30 year olds, why are there a bunch of millennials in Gen Z born a decade or longer after his head was cut off?
Oh, okay, you're talking the later part because he owns the Chime page and Chime comes up with dirty slogans and things like that and things that are trendy dirty for people who like to drink party and smoke a lot.
I apologize. I said chime. It was chive. He owns the chive. It's an app and stuff like that funny pictures dumb apps stupid sayings things like that Yeah, that's why people follow him now.
I just think there's gotta be something specific about Bill Murray that sets him apart from like other people who are in the same genre and do the same thing to make people like put his face on their car and shit. I don't get it.
