I believe people allow for multiple reasons, like protection. They don't know themselves, they think they know themselves. They lie to people so much, now they lie to themselves. But I don't always disclose everything because I don't want people to want to be around me or love me because I have something they want, you know? Or supposedly they need, but I notice more and more these days it's better to just keep silent.
