I have eaten straight food before in foreign countries but I always made sure the establishment looked really clean and the food looked well cooked. However, I have gotten sick a couple of times and now as an adult I don't trust it as much. I'm a lot more careful because I don't know I think I develop some sensitivities and I'm just scared of getting sick during a vacation.

Yes I would and I have obviously it's the same thing as you making sure it looks clean and there's people there I've never gotten sick from street food but I have gotten food poisoning from actual restaurant so it's 50-50
