Ground rising stereo peeps, Moon here. As I reflected on what my favorite nursery rhyme from my childhood was, it got me wondering. I want to know what your favorite nursery rhyme from your childhood that feels nostalgic to you. And why? Comment. Let's talk about it.
Lyndon said that it's not a nursery rhyme but I'm sure it is. I knew it from when I was tiny and it's um piggy on the railway woo woo picking up stones along came an engine woo woo and broke piggy's bones oh said piggy that's not fair and there said the engine driver I don't care
Shout out to you, sweet freak. You know, I can't say that I've ever heard of this nursery rhyme. What I will say, though, is I think you're right. I think this is an actual nursery rhyme. I've noticed a trend with nursery rhymes. They tend to be a bit psychotic, such as London Bridges Going Down, Ring Around the Rosie. It's all based on dark history.
It's not necessarily a nursery rhyme, but I remember one of my favorite books as a child was The Runaway Bunny and Good Night Moon. My kids absolutely still love listening to Good Night Moon.
So, I don't believe I've heard of The Runaway Bunny. I will have to look into that one. Goodnight Mundo. That is a very popular book in my household. My children also love me reading that book to them. I love that book. First of all, the illustration is impeccable on every page. The details are amazing. And, you know, it's so peaceful to read after the long day, you know? Cheers to you.
Oh yes, the little piggies. That was actually one of my favorite experiences that I've had with my kids. There was a time I used to be vegan and I would kind of change up the words a little bit. You know, this little piggy went to the farmer's market. This little piggy had a salad. This little piggy had a veggie wrap and this little piggy just kind of like changed it up a little bit and made it less sadistic.
When I learned what Little Piggy really meant, it's pretty dark, you know, essentially it's talking about, you know, the piggy going to the slaughterhouse and ending up in the grocery store as meat. And I found that out when I was a very new mother. So I was like, oh, let me change this up a little bit, you know.
I don't think you understand how significant this one is on the wheels on the bus go round and round because From when my era is actually, you know, we had cinder blocks, you know the the squares that used to Yeah, we wasn't we wasn't prepared But yeah, that's a good one wheels on the bus go round and round. I don't Damn I'm old
Dr. Diamond P, are you telling me that you knew the Flintstones? Shoot. Okay, so they discontinued using feet. It went to the cinder blocks. That's interesting. You know, was the T-Rex bippity boppity around, you know, those dim, what do they call those things?
Those damn velociraptors that think on their feet in a team. Yeah, that movie freaked me out when I was a kid. I was forever afraid of velociraptors until I became an adult. It didn't help that my family tortured me emotionally. And I was already growing up in a pretty bad situation, so it just added to it, but I'm good now. I'm good. I realize they're extinct.
So did the song go, the cinder blocks on the bus go round and round? Is that how it went? Cheers to you. Thank you for making me smile tonight. I really, I really needed this chuckle.
No, I'm pretty sure that's little Stuart's ancestors. You know, that's his great, great, great times 10 aunt, auntie, yeah. So that's his aunt, auntie, you know, making dinner for the children, you know, while the father is earning the bread.
I don't like how Peter Rabbit's mom teaches him that it's okay to eat rabbits, and Mr. McGregor is like a really cool guy, and he just likes to hang out in his garden. Yeah. Kill rabbits.
