I think the final straw for me is when I am constantly stepping out of the relationship and viewing it from a third-person perspective and just noticing that.

I could see how that would be a red flag, especially if you're trying to get to know someone and like 95% of the conversation is about their ex. Like no one wants to hear that, especially on a first date.

Notice that so many people just look for this big thing or this big red flag so we can justify cutting somebody off but in reality we don't even need to give them that justification. If we don't feel good then we leave. It's that you have to protect your peace.

Oh my god, I'm so sorry he had to experience that. I've been in a similar situation where I was out on a date with someone and he went off and started talking to this other girl for like 20 minutes. After that, I just left and I never spoke to him again afterwards.
