Mines gonna be cabin in the woods because I think it's pretty much embodies but I'm hopeful the horror genre brings to the table and essentially makes like there's a blueprint for it but it's my go to you it's my favorite may not be the scariest but it's the best in my opinion

My favorite horror movie is Black Christmas. I watched it when I was in the fourth grade, so it's at least like 15 to 20 years old. I don't remember when it came out exactly, but I remember I was terrified when I was watching that movie.
