I certainly got someone like that in my life. After my parents divorced, my mom remarried later on, and her current husband is exactly like that. Every single time you bring up a skill or an achievement of yourself or someone else, he always has to one-up it by saying that he did it better or he did it different or this or that. It's so annoying.

And there it is. That is why a lot of folks don't complete their task because they're too busy trying to one-up somebody else instead of taking care of what they gotta take care of.
