okay hello nick how are you i will be speaking about israelianism and this is the introduction to all of that so israelianism is a religious movement or social movement it's actually both that originated in jamaica in the 1930s and has been following the philosophies of marcus garvey marcus garvey is a jamaican um but he also gained popularity in the united states among black people because he's a Pan-Africanist who is also a Black nationalist and activist. So, he was popular during the whole civil war movement, and he believes that Black people should free themselves from mental slavery, just as Bob Marley believed, and he preached that for us to return to our roots or African roots. Individuals who treat the culture like an aesthetic rather than a religion and have very little knowledge on the practices or conduct of a true rasta even persons who live in jamaica and are surrounded by rastas stereotype them as individuals who only smoke ganja as in weed and have dreadlocks and sometimes they think that they are dirty they're not therefore i am going to um I'm going to do this whole thing to kind of shed some light on rastas and their lifestyle and also to give you some information about them because I really love my country and I like the culture that we have and this social movement originated in my country and it has it's worldwide now actually so sit back and enjoy
