I don't think I really have a specific story on, you know, when people come through for me the most. I appreciate all the times. I love my friends. I love my family.
Good evening, Frenchie. Shout out to you. I hope you had a great Tuesday. So I have had a lot of people show up for me in my life, you know, all throughout the years. You know, and while a lot of them were just passerbys, they weren't meant to stay there, you know, they were only there for a short period of time, as you know, happens, right? We're all in each other's lives for a season. Some of us are forever, some of us are not.
What I am attempting to convey is growing up my childhood was rough and I don't know who these individuals are by name to this day but people from my old church when I was a kid they secret-santa'd us throughout the year. Everything we needed.
Clothes, shoes, underwear, tampons, pads, you name it, they put it in the bag. Big black bags full of stuff for me and my siblings. And they wouldn't put it on the main door where my parents could see it. They put it on the side of the house, underneath our window, on the side of the door that never got used.
Except for us kids would open it from time to time. We don't know how long those bags would sit there. But when we did open those doors, it was like Christmas. Our parents would try to take it away or they would try to use it as leverage to be cruel to us more. But the fact that someone thought of us.
The fact that someone thought of me and my siblings, and for the time that we lived in that home, every year, would secret Santa us every season so we could have jackets, so we could have season-appropriate clothes, clothes that fit us, clothes that didn't have holes and rags looking, you know? Shoes that didn't talk when we walked.
These individuals even thought of the little things. Stuffed animals, toys, tampons, pads, right? Toothbrushes, everything. And it's not that my parents were poor. No, no, they weren't poor. They were selfish. So, you know, when we needed it most, strangers showed up.
And it's something that I have never forgotten, even being 34 years and years and years later, never forgot. And I still hold so much gratitude for what they did for me and my siblings. I don't know the names of these individuals to this day, they remained anonymous. Whoever they are, they were angels to us then and they are now to me.
I encourage people don't lose your humanity. I know the world is a crazy place. There's so much darkness and evil that exists in this world. But don't lose your humanity. Reach out. You never know the kind of impact you'd make on someone years later. So my heart is still full of gratitude to this day.
Yeah, I remember like maybe like 2012 I was like man who's in Oregon or something like that Salem on them and They were like, oh, I am just come I'm gonna come get you. I'm gonna come show you around and they really did like Brought me to a smackin soul food restaurant a good-ass weed spot Show me around it was dope. I would never do that now For its time like
Uh, yeah I had like a bicycle flat and it was far and my friend picked me up and that was dope. That's like the quickest one I can think of. Another time an ex-girlfriend also picked me up when I was in a bad situation. Uh, I'm so vague.
Yeah, it's been so many times, man, I have to name just one. Off the top of the dome, Shorty, when she bonded me out, was every court hearing, you know what I'm saying? She was there for me every minute of the way through that process, you know what I'm saying? So, yeah, it's definitely a blessing, man, to have been in that position of somebody be like, yo, I got you, you know what I'm saying? I'm gonna support you. I know it's a crazy time right now. Whatever.
You know what? I have so many of them, I think, and I, in turn, come through for my friends. And it's just, that's what we do. I can't really, there's not one that stands out, because as much as they come through for me, I come through for them. And that's what friendship should be.
I've had plenty of times people came through for me but you know what, God, God be coming through. God be coming through all the time like it don't matter the situation like man I be in some deep holes sometimes and God always come through.
