I have literally seen people use a public pool and bring soap and shit to wash themselves in the public pool. That traumatized me as a child. I've also been in pools where people will literally take a shit and I'm not talking about babies where they can't control it. I'm talking about adults pissing and shitting in the pool. No, I'm good. I'm traumatized.

I've seen people's boogers floating around in the public pool, people's hair, whether it's pubic hair or hair on the head, or just hair, you know, floating in the pool next to me. Oh, God, it's repulsive. So no, I'm definitely not a pool person. I don't care how often they claim to clean a public pool. It is a hard pass for me.

The only time I would make an exception to the rule of not being a pool person is when I make it to the pool first. I'm the first person there as soon as they open, and there's not likely going to be anybody else there. If so, it's going to be one person, maybe two, and not a whole host of people. Or if it's my own private pool, which I don't have access to.
