The greatest problem facing humanity has got to be the parasite that God put here. Humans. Yes, they're welcome. I think Ritz thinks the same thing too.
Yeah, no, I agree with you, and I often refer to us as a parasite, right? Because you take us out of the mix, and everything is going to coexist in equilibrium. You put us into the mix, and we fuck up the whole equation. We throw everything out of balance, and we're even, you know, eliminating our own life support systems. It seems like we're like locusts that have arrived on the scene.
Good evening and another thing with Dave, shout out to you. So I think one of the greatest problems facing humanity is in fact climate change. How even big businesses, people that have lined their pockets with millions if not billions of dollars even. And on top of that the general population, how they all treat Mother Nature.
How they all treat Mother Nature is absolutely heinous, it's depraved, it's atrocious, and our planet is literally dying and suffering because of the choices of people. We live in 2023. If people are not taking care of their portion of the planet, you are choosing to do this.
And when I say you to all the people out there that don't recycle, that don't reduce their carbon footprint, that treat mother nature like shit, you are the reason why our planet continues to suffer and continues to die. What are you gonna do about it? We can all reverse the damage, at least some of it, give our world a few more years, right? What are you gonna do about that?
Mother Nature is all we have. Without this planet, what do we have? Without this world, what do we have to take care of us? Why do we take Mother Nature for granted? It's terrible. People need to change their ways. I hope you have a good night, Dave.
Great response, Simone. Thank you very much. I appreciate your input. I would say, you know, climate change is going to be rough for a lot of people, but I don't think it's a threat to humanity. I mean, a lot of people are probably going to die due to poverty because of changing farming. The areas that are available for farming are going to change. A lot of places are going to get flooded out, but I don't think it's going to kill off most of humanity.
I totally agree. What we do to this planet is abominable, and by we I mean human beings. There's so many laws in place that are being reduced, right? Like EPA, clean water regulations are being reduced when they should be increased. And it kills me that we put corporate profit above all else when you can't live off of money, right? Like this beautiful planet provides everything we need. All we got to do is take care of it.
That's a great point, Moon. To not lower your footprint is a choice. There's so many ways. I mean, even just reducing and reusing is so simple, right? Like, the simple act of keeping a glass jar and reusing that for a storage container instead of buying a plastic thing that's going to end up in landfill eventually and had to be made out of petroleum products in the first place, right? One easy way to help the planet.
One simple thing everybody can do to help the planet, which I'll probably do in another post, is to put your coffee grounds and crushed eggshells outside. Just throw them out on the dirt and that helps the soil. Worms love coffee grounds. And then that keeps that out of landfill.
