I use cameras to memorialize my position when I'm working on vehicles. Where did this go? Where did that go? Just take a picture. Take a really good sharp picture and it will remind you where everything goes. I naturally have an order that I put things in. If I know I'm going to be apart for a while, like something has to go to a machine shop, I'll put the screws back in the holes. That way there's no memory involved. It helps you recall the order of assembly.
