It depends. I don't have a relationship with my grandparents from either side. So for me, they didn't really play a big role in my life.

I think they do because sometimes they have to take over the parents. If the parents leave, then it's basically just the grandparents left for them to take care of the kids.

I wish my children had grandparents, but unfortunately my father passed away and my mother is not a good person. And the paternal grandparents are just not there. They're off doing their own things with other kids.

However, that being said, I do have my most recent child will have good grandparents, thankfully.

I think if they are like active grandparents, then they most definitely play like a huge role in your child's life. But if they are like in and out of your child's life, not an active grandparent, then I really don't think they do.

I think it really depends to I grew up without grandparents at all I had one grandma who is still alive and she never really saw us never watched us so I personally can't see much on that but for my kids
